Description
Original large aluminum water or coffee jug with lid and handle marked RFI 39. It also has a V marked on it and H.3.7 It is in decent condition with some wear. These are synonymous with barracks life in the German army. You frequently see them in photos and often drawn into cartoons and comics. I have heard that this was technically the coffee jug while the other jugs without lids were for water. I am not sure that this was a real difference or not. Apparently, a soldier would take this jug every morning to have it filled with coffee and bring it back to the barracks room.
