Description
Vintage WWII US Navy WAVES black two piece tie. This two piece style seems to be the more common wartime one (although one piece ties did exist). One part has a stain on it and both pieces have a bit of a shine in places from being ironed. Some fraying / tearing on buttonholes (still useable).
This tie was worn with the white shirt, the reserve-blue shirt and the seersucker working uniform. It was worn under the shirt collar with the knot placed at the collar opening and the tie ends tucked under the collar tips.
