Black Rayon Dress with Colorful Print Wrap Around Top

Vintage 1930s / 1940s black rayon dress with colorful print.

Really cute and unique style dress. The dress is all one piece. The bottom of the colorful top turns into a belt and belts in the back. The jacket is attached. The blouse closes with snaps (the large buttons are just decorative). It also come with a small square of fabric. perhaps to tuck in the chest "pocket".

It is in OK condition. There is a lot of wear on the collar / neck area. Staining under the arms on the colorful material, but luckily that is hidden by the black top. Small hole in the top. There are some repairs along seams. The stitching where the colorful material is attached to the belt is redone. The material and stitching seems delicate. If anything is tight on you, you'll definitely be risking seam pops. Some white smudging and a few other stains. The skirt looks like it was lengthen a bit as the fabric on the bottom is a little different. A couple tiny holes. Some pulls in the material. The belt has a lot of wear to the back. Once you get the belt adjusted to wear you need it, it might be beneficial to sewn in snaps or hook and eye so the end isn't hanging loosely (it is pinned in the photos). Has a bit of an "old" smell to it.
