Elephant Novelty Print Dress

Vintage 1940s colorful elephant novelty print dress.

Absolutely adorable print! It has people riding elephants and what looks like Indian architecture. It buttons down the front with fabric covered buttons. Metal side zipper. Belt loops but no belt. 

AS-IS. OK condition with flaws. I have not attempted to launder it as the material looks like it will color bleed. There is staining throughout. The collar and underarms are the worst but there is also staining/ discoloration on the chest, back and some spots on the skirt.  Some of the seams are starting to separate. There are several repairs. Under the arm is a repair along the seam. By the metal zipper and on the back of the skirt there are repairs to holes and tears with white cloth backing (see inside out photo). The biggest repair on the tear doesn't lay flat. There may be some other small holes (the pattern hides the holes fairly well). The buttons have some brown specks. The fabric by the zipper wants to get caught in the zipper, so be careful when you zip it up. Slight "old" smell, like it was stored in an attic or something for awhile.
