  • Description

Original WWII first pattern WAVES summer officer's jacket. One of the rarer uniform pieces - this material was only used in the summer of 1943.

    MEASUREMENTS (approximate):
    Bust - 35"
    Waist - 30 1/2"
    Length - 23 3/4"
Sleeve (shoulder seam to end of cuff) - 23"

It has the blue "Made and sold under the authority of the U.S. Navy U.S. Women's Naval Reserve" tag.  Inside the pocket is the Women's Naval Reserve label with lines for name and rate. Name tag at the neck has been ripped.

It is in good condition overall, but does have some flaws. There are scattered red-ish stains. I photographed the most noticeable spots. Some pulls in the material. It is still wearable, as the stains are not too distracting. I took the jacket out in bright sunlight and was able to get better photos of the stains. It looks like a small bit of material was cut out from the inside (not noticeable when worn).
