Navy Blue Smock Top with Red Trim

Vintage 1940s navy blue top with red trim.

Sleeve (shoulder seam to end of cuff) - 18 1/4"
Neck - 15"

Three-quarter sleeve lightweight jacket. Sort of a smock look or perhaps a maternity top. The cut is sort of barrel shaped, so the waist is about the same width as the bust. This would look cute with a red or white skirt or with over a plain blue dress. The buttons have a red and white polka dot design so this would also go good with a red polka dot dress. There are two buttons at the neck; perhaps it originally same with some sort of button in scarf? It has sewn in shoulder pads.

Overall good condition with some general wear. A few repairs on the seams, but nothing too noticeable. It is a navy blue color, the photos against the wood make it look brighter than it is.
