8cm Gr.W.34 Mid-War Cup
These are the last 8cm cup parts that we plan on making and we have a very limited supply. All cups are all marked "kem 41". All cups are sold with a light coat of red oxide primer and may have scratches and other light wear from handling around the shop.
This is our new production run of mid-war style tube cups (end cap, or verschlusskappe) for the 8cm Gr.W.34. They turned out beautiful. This is the perfect piece to build your 8cm reenactment mortar. This style of cup started showing up as early as 1941 (this is the earliest date we have found.) These cups don't appear to have been serial numbered like earlier cups. If you would like a serial number, we have the stamps and we can add one but we do not recommend it; email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if this is what you would like. The thumb screw safety was eliminated from this model of cup to simplify production and probably because it likely did little to make extracting a dud round any safer.
These are copied from an original in every visual detail, minus the functionality. This will fit your original tube and is already missing all the parts you would have to destroy for your dewat cup. They are made from steel on a combination of CNC and manual equipment and are threaded to accept an original or reproduction tube. The threaded plug in the bottom unscrews like an original but will not accept a firing pin assembly and crucial material is missing on the inside face of the cup so a space for the firing pin can not be made. The three screws on the milled flat surface will accept your winkelmesser for display just like a real cup. Please see our reproduction tubes to complete your display or reenactment 8cm Gr.W.34.
