Description
Vintage 1920s / 1930s German Aethylmorph. Hydrochl. glass apothecary bottle with stopper. This was a semi-synthetic opioid derivative of morphine used as a cough suppressant and to treat mild to moderate pain. The label is actually a form of enamel which is fused onto the glass permanently. This gives the label a very nice dimensionality, like an old enamel sign. Extraordinary quality for a otherwise ordinary medicine bottle, a beautiful combination. Good condition. There is also a smaller paper label glued on the back but it is basically ready to fall off and is only holding on by a corner.
