Description
Period correct (could be from the 1930's-1960's) German 1 liter Augusta-Bräu Augsburg beer krug. It is in decent, usable condition. There is a small chip near the "1L" marking by the handle. There are also a few specks of green paint and a blue mark on the handle. The handle has a hole on the top where the hinge for a lid could be attached. Great item for events (especially barracks events), much less farby than a modern bottle. It measures about 7 1/4" tall and 4" in diameter along the bottom.
This is a krug, not a stein. "Stein" is what English speakers and tourists say. In German a stein is a stone, and is not used to describe a beverage container.
