Nice hand painted period 1L krug from Bad Reichenhall which is well known for the Gebirgsjäger Kaserne - where Gebirgsjäger Regiment 100 trained along with a few other units. Nice edelweiss and mountain flower design. It is in good condition with some wear. This could be post war or war time. The krug is of the type that was common between the 1920's-1970's.
This is a krug, not a stein. Stein is what English speakers and tourists say. In German a stein is a stone, and is not used to describe a beverage container.
