Description
Period Bahlsen Bunte Waffeln Feine Waffelmischung cookie tin.
It is impossible to say with certainty which era these ones are from. Bahlsen did start marking their tin with "Made in Western Germany" sometime in the 50's so this is from before that because it doesn't have that marking.
The side is a little dented and there is some wear to the finish and scratches. There is a little light rust on the bottom of the can and inside. This could clean up and make a good unit cookie jar, as items like this were frequently sent to the front as moral boosters. The diet of the German soldier was quite diverse with many sweets and candies.
It measures about 4 3/4" tall and 5 1/4" in diameter.
