Bakelite Kaffee Hag Coffee Container

WWII era Kaffee Hag coffee container. It has a ship design inlay on the front and is marked "Kaffee Hag" on the bottom.  The container has a very air tight seal. The lid slips off easily but still has a good seal due to the close tolerance and resulting air vacuum. Due to the tight seal and inert nature of the material, this would make a really great coffee container, if I hadn't already taken pictures of it for this update, I would likely have kept this for my coffee. I will get the next one I guess.

This Bakelite maker was virtually wiped out late in the war and afterwards the remaining factory was dismantled and sent back to the Soviet Union. When the company resumed production after the war, it was done with entirely new tooling and maker marks in the west; this makes dating HRS made Bakelite very straight forward.
