Vintage, probably pre-war, 0,9 liter plain beer krug. This is an older style, with the capacity marking on the front instead of by the handle. It is also a very odd increment of 0.9 liter (usually they are in 1L, .5L or 3/4L). Great item for events, much less farby than a modern bottle. It stands about 7" tall. The bottom diameter is about 3 7/8" in diameter.
Good, usable shape. It has a few flaws in the glaze. There are some scratches and a few very small chips along the edge. The bottom has some indents, but it sits just fine. It needs cleaned before use.
This is a krug, not a stein. "Stein" is what English speakers and tourists say. In German a stein is a stone, and is not used to describe a beverage container.
