Description
Vintage WWII British made women's WAC or army nurse Ike jacket and skirt.
MEASUREMENTS (approximate):
IKE JACKET:
Bust - 37"
Waist - 28 1/2"
Length - 17 1/2"
Sleeve (shoulder seam to cuff) - 22 3/4"
SKIRT:
Waist - 25"
Hips - 37"
Length - 24"British made for US servicewomen. I am not sure if both pieces are from the same maker, however they are both labeled size 14R (see above measurements to ensure fit). Jacket is labeled: "Jackets Field WI. OD. Wms. Size 14R Corby, Palmer & Stewart 1944" The skirt label is very washed out and its hard to read anything besides the size. Honorable discharge ("ruptured duck") patch and service stripes on the sleeve.
Decent condition; wearable but with a few flaws. There are a few very small moth nibbles and a couple small areas of wear. Small hole under one arm. Very light discoloration from storage. The skirt has a very large hem, so it could be let down another 3" or so if needed.
NOTE: The color in the main photo is the best representation of the true color. The close-up pictures make it look browner or lighter than it is.
