British W.R.N.S. PT Shorts 1943

Vintage WWII British W.R.N.S. (Women's Royal Naval Service or "Wrens") PT shorts.

Waist - 23 1/2"-24"
Hips - 34"
Length - 17 1/2"

The label reads "Skirts Divided. P.T. W.R.N.S Size No. 1" made by Clydesdale Weatherproof Co. and dated 1943. I believe this same style shorts were used by the A.T.S. as well. The measurements listed on the label seem bigger than what they actually measure (the waist measurement of 24" is tight). They button on the side with two buttons.

These are new old stock, unissiued, so they still have white thread holding pleats together. They so have some storage wear, dirt and scuffs.  There is a hole by the buttons - there are multiple layers of fabric and so it is not a through hole. Some tiny pinprick holes by the buttons. Wear on the top button. Inside, there is an extra gusset sewn in the crotch. Some loose strings and the label has some wear and sticker residue.
