British WRNS PT Shorts 1944

Vintage WWII British WRNS (Women's Royal Naval Service or "Wrens") PT shorts.

MEASUREMENTS (approximate):
Waist - 26-27"
Hips - 36-37"
Length - 18 1/2"

The label reads "Skirts Divided. Navy (P.T.) W.R.N.S Size No. 3" made by Clydesdale Weatherproof Co. and dated 1944. I believe this same style shorts were used by the A.T.S. as well. The measurements listed on the label seem bigger than what they actually measure (the waist measurement of 27" is tight). They button on the side with two buttons.

These appear to be new old stock and unissued, as they still have white thread holding pleats together. HOWEVER, they do have a repair behind the bottom button. This is hidden when worn. They so have some storage wear. Inside, there is an extra gusset sewn in the crotch. Some loose strings and pulls in the material.
