Lovers of vintage European lamps rejoice. You no longer need to cut off your vintage lamps plug to modify it or use a fiddley little garbage plastic adapter. You can retain your lamp's European character, plug it into your US outlet, and do both of those with an equally beautiful vintage looking adapter. Besides, German outlets are very satisfying to use, a very stout, definitive plug system. All components are newly manufactured based on period 1930's standards. This will work with most German lamps from the 1930's or newer. Some of the earlier lamps might use a less standardized plug which may or may not work with this cord. The style of this plug was standardized in the 1930's and includes grounding tabs which sometimes impede older style plugs.
