Exquisite original 1930's-1940's German leather briefcase in very good, deadstock condition, only some light wear and age. This style of briefcase was introduced before the war and became sort of the new standard in Europe and was produced for many decades afterward. This is one of the nicest ones I have found and even includes a built in ruler. The ruler is something I have never found before and it serves two functions both as a measuring implement and as a stiffener for the case. The zipper is Zipp D.R.P. Nürnberg which really helps date it to the 1930's/1940's. It still has its 2 original keys. A truly fine briefcase in great condition for its age.
I've been looking and virtually all modern briefcases are complete rubbish by comparison and even most of the designer and hand made stuff that costs hundreds or even thousands can't hold a candle to the quality, design, and function of this briefcase. This combines timeless design, European flair, history, and build quality into a unique and distinctive case. Set this down on the conference table and instantly shame every other case in the room. Anyone that appreciates office accessories or the finer things in life can't help but notice this one. It is the very definition of exquisite.
