Original WWII first pattern WAVES summer enlisted uniform jacket and skirt. One of the rarer uniform pieces - only used in the summer of 1943. The set doesn't come up often.

Both pieces are named to Audrey J. Kelly. It has the blue "Made and sold under the authority of the U.S. Navy U.S. Women's Naval Reserve" tag. Women's Naval Reserve label in the inside pocket and on the skirt waistline. The detachable shank buttons are held in place by round wire loops. Some light wear and smudges. Side metal zipper. Some loose stitching.
The set is in good condition. This lighter weight material was made as an alternative to the wool for summer. However, it proved to be unpopular so it was abandoned.
