Description
Vintage WWII sweetheart embroidered underwear. "Gone with the wind Off limits" These were sent home by GIs to their wives or girlfriends. These were most common from the Pacific theater - hence possibly why the text is slightly off (gone with is bunched together and the d in wind is not very tall). I have seen bras, panties and matching sets. This one is in fairly good condition with some wear. There is yellowing along the waist and a few light stains (a light bit of color bleed and water staining). Two small breaks in the lace. Very light robin's egg blue color.
The elastic is worn, meaning the waist has NO STRETCH - it measures 26" as it currently is (the hips are 38"). The elastic would need replaced before these could be worn or displayed on a mannequin.
