Description
Created on June 1 1940, the Infantry Assault badge in bronze was created specifically for motorized/mechanized infantry who have taken part in:
- at least three infantry assaults (including counter-attacks) or
- at least three armed reconnaissance operations or engaged in hand-to-hand combat in an assault position or
- participated on three separate days in the reestablishment of combat positions.
These units were not eligible for the Infantry Assault badge in silver so this was made just for them.
This is the best looking reproduction I have seen, which is why I chose to stock it. I have avoided medals for a long time simply because the quality just wasn't there until now.
