Vintage original WWII WAC / WAAC (Women's Army Corps / Women's Army Auxiliary Corps) officer's uniform: jacket with insignia, skirt, blouse and tie.
MEASUREMENTS (approximate):
JACKET:
Bust - 37 1/2"
Waist - 32"
Length - 27"
Sleeve (shoulder seam to end of cuff) - 22"
SKIRT:
Waist - 30 3/4"
Hips - 40 1/2"
Length - 23"
BLOUSE:
Neck - 15 1/2"
Bust - 43 1/2"
Waist - 40"
Length - 24"
Sleeve (shoulder seam to end of cuff) - 22 1/4"The jacket has a label in the pocket dated 1943 and size 16R. The skirt and blouse are missing the labels. WAC officer insignia pins with flat back clutches (the Pallas Athene emblems vary a bit in color). The tie looks to be the women's version, which is narrower than the men's. The uniform is in decent, wearable condition, but it does have some flaws.
The wool jacket has some flaws. There are a few small moth holes (one by a top pocket flap, one by a bottom pocket, one by a side seam, and a few on the sleeves). There may be a few other pinprick holes. The material had some pulls. There are some small brown stains near the bottom in the back. The sleeve has some stitching where a patch used to be. The buttons are not sewn on, but are held in place by cotter pins. The inside lining is stained.
The skirt has a light stain near the bottom. The hem looks like it was redone (the skirt may have been taken up - there is not much material left; it could be taken down almost 1") The waist has been extended to make it bigger. There is a small hole near where the button originally was.
The blouse has some issues. There are a few rust specks and some scattered brown stains. The collar has small holes where the insignia pins were and the sleeve has stitching where a patch used to be. The tie has some light staining as well. The collar has AJW and a name written inside.
