Large Desk Blotter New Old Stock

Original large leather desk blotter. This is a very nice piece in basically brand new condition. It still has a piece of carboard inside which was just a spacer to keep its shape prior to sale. Inside there are a number of paper sheets which are intended to soak up access ink that may bleed through paper while writing. There are also two large pockets, one of which is lockable. The key is still attached with a bit of string and wrapped in paper. This is a prime office accessory, if you want an upscale looking office space. This was taken from a writing store which closed up sometime around the end of the war. 

Corrugated cardboard like the piece inside this was a common packing material before an during the war. It seems rather modern to many but it was used very frequently to package all types of German fuses.
