Description
Original tape measures are hard enough to find, let alone finding a Luftwaffe marked one! This is a nice 20 meter original bandmasse with a Luftwaffe eagle. The frame is made from aluminum with a wood handle and brass fittings. The tape itself is steel with two repairs. One repair looks very old and the other looks very recent, see photos. The numbers are still present but are faint. Tape measures in this size range normally saw use with artillery units and with engineers. Being a Luftwaffe tape measure, one can easily imagine it being used around the airdrome or in the field by ground units or by fallschirmjaeger.
