Vintage WWII US Navy WAVES women's uniform: jacket, skirt and garrison cap set.

GARRISON CAP: Size 22

The jacket has the WAVES label in the neck, the name label has been torn out. There is a tailor label and a label for the name and rank in the pocket. This jacket has the plain blue buttons (correct for wartime, but less common). Some of the buttons have discoloration. There are some small holes in the jacket (the most noticeable is on the shoulder). Some pulls in the material and some scuffs and marks. The ends of the cuffs have wear. The lining shows a lot of wear and tear. It has come unstitched in places and sticks out at the bottom. There is a lot of staining throughout. It has repairs under the arms and some tears / loose stitching on the sleeves. There is a hole in the lining in the center.

The skirt has some stains and small holes. WAVES label inside, but the label with the name and rate information has been torn out. The hem of the skirt could be let down another 2" if needed.

The garrison cap has the WAVES label, size 22 label and the label for name and rate. The hat is the only named piece (named to M. D. Hamstra). Some wear and light staining on the top. The lining has some staining.

Overall, the set is in wearable shape, but it does have its flaws.
