Description
Original WWII NNC Navy Nurse Corps hospital work uniform dress.
MEASUREMENTS (approximate):
Bust - 42"
Waist - 30"
Hips - 39"
Length - 44"
Sleeve (shoulder seam to end of cuff) - 24" (with cufflinks worn)Made of cotton poplin and closed by detachable white pearl buttons with cotter pins. Snaps down the skirt. It is missing the belt (it does have a large hem so that material could be used to make a belt). Nice U.S. Navy Nurse's Uniform label. Named to Ens. Ruth Gross. There are gold navy cufflinks on the sleeves.
CONDITION: Good, wearable. There are a few brown specks (rust?) and some very light discoloration (some along the shoulder area). Some wear / discoloration along the neck. The collar has some small holes where the insignia was pinned on.
