Description
Original, non-standard, German blanket. This style of blanket was sold to the civilian market but also made their way into use with the military and red cross. Although this is not a strictly military pattern it is 100% correct and would not be out of place in your impression. If you want to use an original, period blanket but maybe not the $300 army issued one, this is a perfect alternative. The SS in particular sourced blankets of multiple styles from civilian sources since, at least in the early days, the army contracts with manufacturers limited their access to the same equipment. It is in good condition with some light staining. It measures about 71 1/2" by 54 1/2'.
