Vintage 1940s German seamed stockings. They are marked size 9 and "Baumwolle mit Kunstseide plattiert" (cotton with artificial silk core). Size 9 refers to the size of the foot in inches, NOT your shoe size (US and European stockings sizes were the same, even though shoe sizes were/are different). The foot seems to measure a little under 9", but they do have a bit of stretch. They measure about 30 1/2" long.
These are a heavier weight, but are very soft. German (and other European countries too) stockings have a very nice soft feel that I don't see in American stockings; it is quite distinctive, but I can't describe it well. Good condition. Only one stocking is marked, the other is blank (fairly common to only mark one).
