Original German Hassia flashlight in box. Although this is has an American military style, the design did exist in Germany before the war, but it was not common. This flashlight is new old stock and in good condition. It appears to be completely unused.
The bottom cap does not want to unscrew so I can't look inside. (UPDATE--BOTTOM CAP WORKED FREE, INSIDE IS LIKE NEW!) The lens cap does unscrew. It is painted to look like Bakelite but is made from stamped steel. It has a nice clip riveted on it which also has a little cut out for hanging on a nail or hook. The switch has 3 settings, one locks the push button in the off position, the other frees the push button for Morse code, and the last setting holds down the push button in the on position.
The box is in poor condition, a little crushed and dirty with a torn open lid but still nice to have. Very nice example of an uncommon flashlight. It measures about 7 1/8" long.
