Description
Very nice, complete German Original Helios Steinglas glass thermos. D.R.G.M. marked. This style of glass thermos with a steel base and Bakelite cup were quite popular in the 1930's. The glass used on these was also referred to as Panzerglas as it was formulated to be more durable than typical glass. Having handled a lot of original thermoses, I can say they do seem much more durable than the typical thermoses that were completely encapsulated in metal or Bakelite. These obviously can break, but take a bit more to break than normal. The cup is in good condition and it is complete. The stopper is porcelain with a rubber gasket which is also in good condition.
