Original Oranier Bunkerofen Stove

Original ORANIER bunkerofen bunker stove in great condition. No cracked or broken pieces. This is a really cool piece. It is made from cast iron and heavy sheet steel. It is complete with the original lid and all of the internal pieces. It was actually designed to burn charcoal briquettes, but there are a few photos floating around that show freezing soldiers cramming bundles of sticks down the top opening to burn. One of the best features of this type of stove is that it has hooks to hang 5 mess kits around the outside to warm food and the top opening is design to fit a mess kit for cooking. It is a really cool piece and very practical for winter events or just a great addition to any display. Stoves like this didn't really get into mass production until the winter of 1941 as the army froze outside Moscow. Too little too late. This is the more common model of bunker stove. Really hoping it goes to a good home.
