Original portrait photo of a man wearing a Maltese cross which appears to be a variation of the Order of Saint John or Order of Saint Lazarus. The enamel is, however, a dark color more like a Freikorps Cross. I was not able to find an exact match for this particular medal. Whatever it is, this is a nice picture of it. This photo was purchased with a lot of random WWII and pre-war German photos. The picture is in pretty good condition with some light wear and some creases on the corners.
