    Period flashlight with a wire button loop and a little carrying handle. This is a rather neat little design with a protruding light and a little on off toggle switch. It is in good condition with some light wear around the edges. This one could be French made, I'm not really sure but a number of the other flashlights it was with were French or Belgian. I did not see any markings, not even on the bulb. It takes the same flat 4,5v battery as the standard German flashlights of the era.
