Original Luftwaffe Polen-Feldzug photo album from the Lg.Fernspr.Komp. 1/4. The commanding officer was the Prinz Louis Ferdinand von Preußen (House of Hohenzollern, grandson of Kaiser Wilhelm II). Louis Ferdinand lived in the USA for some time and at a Ford plant and he actually knew FDR. He has a fairly interesting albeit somewhat mundane story. Its worth a read.

This is sadly a fairly empty photo album, with a lot more loose pictures than attached ones. It seems like they didn't fall out either, they were just never put in. There are 34 photos total: 16 photos inside, 1 big unit photo and 17 other loose photos. There is an unpublished photograph of the Prussian prince in the album. He is standing with some of his men and what appears to be a Polish prisoner in front of a car (I did watermark this one). There are a few decent shots of equipment and I got a solid 10 minutes of entertainment looking at the collage of the unit members. They really look like a group of misfits. The album is in rather good condition. It belonged to Funker Gonsior. I also found it nice to be able to place many of the men in the photos with faces in the collage. You kind of get a feel for who Gonsior's friend group was.

Here is an interesting blog post about Prussian princes serving during the war.
