Small newly made corncob pipes with "Gift of the American Red Cross" labels. The Red Cross did give out corn cob pipes in packages for POWs and refugees and in canteens and clubmobiles. and the styles of the pipe varied quite a lot. Some were marked with a paper label and some were stamped. We chose to go the paper label route. A good G.I. accessory. These do not perfectly match the sample in my collection, but they do look like they would have been made in the same factory. Pictured next to the original label that has yellowed with age and use.
