20 pack of 3D printed reenactment Schü mines without fuses. This is the box only, taken straight off the printer. You will need to trim the supports, paint and assemble. Its like a model kit. For paint I recommend either Behr Classic Noir, or Dupli-color Dessert Sand. The hinge of the box is built into the print; just clip the top onto the bottom where the hinge nubs line up with the holes. These are really good, but not perfect. There may be minor defects in the prints, these do not effect how they work, but are cosmetic. They get better almost every time I print them, but I am not throwing out minor defects. These are made to be cheap and nearly disposable. A completed, painted example is shown in the pictures as an sample.
Although these are part of our "cheap and cheerful" line of reenactment items, they are still better than many more expensive options out there. Visually, these replicate the original very well and even have a wood grain effect on the sides. There is an extra vent hole in the backside to allow any "pop" you figure out how to put into it to vent more safely and lessen the odds of it damaging itself. I will not suggest that you attempt to do anything with these for reasons.
Why "cheap and cheerful"? Cheap and safe while still looking good and being simple enough to be usable at events is far more important than durability. These are fantastic and cheap, not indestructible. In testing, I broke a few boxes by stepping on them, I broke a lot of the resin printed fuse parts, but I had almost none fail to work at least once. These are not infinitely reusable, they are cheap and pretty. You can have a mountain of these for the price of a handful of super durable ones you will probably just loose anyway. The Germans only made single use mines, these are slightly better than that.
Additionally, do not think that I have given up on improving these over time. I am constantly testing and modifying designs to make them more durable and reliable. Over time they will get better but this base model is a great start and all the basics are there.
