Vintage "Viel Glück" (much luck) mushroom pin / brooch. It is made of an early plastic. It is in overall good condition.
This particular mushroom is known in German as gluckspilz (which literally means “lucky mushroom”), grows deep in the forest. Its real name is Amanita muscaria and finding one is thought to be a sign of good luck, similar to the way the Irish view four-leaf clovers. It is also a common Christmas time ornament (reindeer like to eat them).
