Vintage WWII WAC (Women's Army Corps) Hobby hat in OD green. It is marked size 22 1/2. Made by Stetson in Tennessee. The front has an officer's eagle - the WAC changed from the walking eagle to the standard eagle that was used on men's hats in late summer of 1943. Named to Margaret Vanderau - who was actually enlisted. I was going to replace the officer's eagle with the enlisted, but the officer's eagle covers the mothing that the enlisted insignia does not. I'm guessing that is why this hat has the officer's eagle.
AS-IS condition with mothing. From the front the hat looks nice, however there is a lot of mothing around the edges and some on the brim. Luckily the worst mothing is sort of hidden a bit when worn.
