Original Wehrmacht Heereseigentum 20 meter tape measure. The end of the cloth tape has a replaced segment of leather. This segment doesn't retract into the body easily. Dated 1937 with a waffen amt. Heereseigentum was pressed into the leather but has been largely scratched out. The outside leather has a lot of wear. These would have been common for pioneers and heavy weapons as they were used to construct positions. If you wanted a more usable tape measure for events, this might be the better choice. Its a little beat up, but that makes it a lot less stressful to take out and use.
