  • Description

Original stock mine 43 or stick mine 1943, literally a mine on a stick.  This was intended to function as a sort of simplified S mine because the mine body remained a few inches above the ground while being held in place by the stick. When a tripwire was pulled, the explosion and shrapnel would go in all directions much like the result of a bouncing mine but without the complexity. Simple, cheap, effective; everything Germany needed in the later stages of the war.

The concrete mine itself is original and so is the zz42 fuse. The wooden stick and the inert display charge are both reproductions. We have several mine display sets available and all are in similar condition to the one in the photos. The price is for one set (mine, stick, fuse, inert charge). They have a lot of their original tan paint although some of the metal chunks placed inside the concrete for shrapnel are now rusty and visible. The ZZ42 is also generally in good condition with some corrosion. The Bohrpatrone 28 is a solid wood piece with a steel fuse well all covered and labeled as a real one would look.

We helped put these together over 10 years ago for another vendor and these ones we just had in storage. When these are gone, I will not restock them, although I will still have some of the slightly more damaged examples to list at a later date.
