Description
A very nice example of a mid-late war 3/4L enameled canteen. The bottle and cover are unmarked. The leather strap is marked R.K.W.43 and the cup is marked RFI 43. It is not a mint canteen, but good to very good. The leather is quite flexible. The cup is dirty, but not chipped and damaged like so many of this sort of cup. The bottle has some minor dents but no damage to the enamel. The cover is nice. The leather strap is nice but the bottom tab has heavy wear, is has not torn through yet, but I do feel like it probably can not be used a whole lot more before it does rip. It looks like the canteen is practically unused. The inside of the bottle shows no indications of use. The stud on the cap that connects it to the strap is a little bent.
