Original carrying bag used for various parachutes. For example, a complete FJ packed parachute with the harness, jump ready, would be kept inside this bag, inside a metal can. This bag still has all of its snaps, some of the snaps hold rather loosely, but I do find that preferable to frozen closed or torn out, which is common for these bags. The body of the bag is actually made of a sort of twisted paper material. There is some staining on the bottom of the bag and a few small holes. This is not the best possible example of a parachute bag, but it is better than the vast majority of the existing bags out there. This is one I would consider usable for displays and events. Nice enough to use, salty enough to not feel bad about using it. Listing is for the carrying bag only, no parachute.
