This is a new made 3D printed reproduction of the model 41 Blende or black out cover for bicycles. Price is for one. It measures 100mm in diameter. This is modeled from an original and printed from our new mixture of 3D printing resin giving the cover a deep brown to red brown color. The back side is painted white to reflect light and there is a patch of white paint below the slit on the front which was often found on original examples. This bit of white paint helps the nearly completely covered headlamp act as a subdued marker light. I have included 4 black rubber bands to attach the cover around your headlamp. This is a rather finicky system but that's how they did it, and who am I to say it could be done better.
These turned out in two basic shades, dark brown and more of a red brown. If you prefer one color over the other, write that in the comments section of your order and we will try to accommodate. No guarentees on which color you will receive. Originals came in such a huge variety of colors including plenty of freakish multi colored monstrosities, that I feel the minor difference of brown or red brown is not significant. This was one of the first items I made with the new resin and it is hand mixed so the variation just happened in experimentation. I love all of them equally.
These are fairly durable and will hold up to normal use just fine. However, it is a very thin part so damage is possible if mistreated or exposed to excessive force. Be careful when attaching it to your bike. The material is a little flexible which makes these durable but if exposed to excessive heat it may deform a bit. Originals are very rare and very expensive. This is the cherry on top of your truppenfahrrad restoration.
